A Major Milestone for West St. Paul

We’re excited to share that our redevelopment of the former YMCA site in West St. Paul, known as Thompson Oaks, has officially closed, marking the next step in bringing this transformative redevelopment to life.

Phase 1 of 2 will deliver 291 new homes, over 7,000 square feet of commercial retail, and a 2.5-acre community park to the City of West St. Paul. The housing component will include 19 townhome-style residences and 272 apartment homes, along with an impressive amenity package and significant improvements to the surrounding site.

With construction commencing immediately, the project is officially moving forward after a 3.5-year planning effort between Greco and the City of West St. Paul.

“This marks Greco’s largest redevelopment to date and wouldn’t be possible without the incredible partnership of the community, staff, and leaders in West St. Paul, Dakota County, and at the state level. We are incredibly thankful to our partners and look forward to bringing to life another transformational development that will offer a whole new living experience to the area,” stated Greco’s President, Josh Brandsted.

We will welcome our first townhome residents in approximately 12 months, followed by the first apartment residents in approximately 18 months.

We’re proud to be partnering with Swervo Development and the City of West St. Paul to bring this vision to life—and excited to watch Thompson Oaks become a new destination for the community.
