Greco Proposes Active Adult Community in Woodbury's Gold Line Corridor
Greco has proposed a new active adult community in Woodbury, continuing the firm's focus on delivering thoughtfully designed housing in growing Twin Cities suburbs.
The development would bring 150 homes north of Tamarack Road and west of Bielenberg Drive within the city's planned Gold Line station area. Plans call for a four-story, 137-unit apartment building alongside 13 townhomes, creating a community designed for active adults seeking modern living options with convenient access to surrounding amenities.
The new development recently received a unanimous recommendation for approval from the Woodbury Planning Commission, marking an important step forward in the entitlement process.
Located within the Gold Line Station Area, a district identified in a 2022 master plan for long-term mixed-use growth, the site is positioned within one of Woodbury's evolving development corridors. Greco has submitted a series of applications to support the project, including a comprehensive plan amendment, rezoning request, and a planned unit development (PUD).
The active adult community would include a range of indoor and outdoor amenities designed to support an active lifestyle. Current plans feature spaces such as a community room, fitness center and yoga studio, golf simulator, cafe library, and pet wash. Outdoor amenities include pickleball courts, a pool, fire pits, and an outdoor kitchen.
As demand continues to grow for housing options that support downsizing without sacrificing comfort or community, active adult developments are becoming an increasingly important part of the region's housing landscape.
The project will next move to the Woodbury City Council for review as the entitlement process continues.
